(The 'Orbitron' also appears in the trailer for this flick, if we recall correctly!)

"I have a picture of me wearing one of Roths painted shirts. It was around 1959 0r 1960. A
bunch of us had them done on sweat shirts. He even had our names on the top! It was
the drawing of the goatee man. It was done I believe in Maywood,Ca. I grew up in Bell. I remember it being done in a little shop that looked like a garage."

(above left) Man, that 'Surfite' really got around! Here makin' the scene in A.I.P.'s "Beach Blanket Bingo"! "The reason I wanted the 'Surfite' in 'Beach Blanket Bingo' was for the advertising value. If I could advertise it as being in the movie, I'd be able to collect $1,500 per show rather than the normal $200." - Ed "Big Daddy" Roth (from 'Hot Rods by Ed "Big Daddy" Roth and Tony Thacker, copyright 1995)
(above right) Jody McRae as 'Bonehead' wearing a kool 'Surfink' T in A.I.P.'s "Beach Blanket Bingo" - He's also donning a real boss 'R.F.' hat!
(left) "... I got wind of this new movie Annette Funicello was makin'... so I drove down and parked the Surfite next to Buster Keaton's dressing room, pretendin' to be one of the cast. If you're hip to movie sets, there's always good food around. I had it made." - Ed "Big Daddy" Roth (from Hot Rods by Ed "Big Daddy" Roth & Tony Thacker copyright 1995)
